Introduction of 2-factor authentication

Dear users of VETdata

The VETdata data platform is becoming increasingly popular and currently around 80% of supplier invoices are already available on the platform in addition to TVS documents.

Of course, data protection and data security are our top priority and we have decided to further increase the security of data access, not least because of the new Data Protection Act, which came into force on September 1, 2023.

For this reason, we will gradually introduce 2-factor authentication by means of an authentication app or SMS. This means that, in addition to your user name and password, you will need to enter an automatically generated numerical code from the separate authentication app or by text message from your cell phone in order to gain access to the VETdata data platform.

You can currently find the various access options under the login link https://vetdata.ch. Logging in using the authentication app is the preferred version; alternatively, you can choose the option via SMS, although this incurs costs for VETdata. The access variant without a second factor will be available until the end of February 2024, after which the use of a second factor is mandatory for security reasons.

Further information and instructions on the specific procedure can be found at https://vetdata.ch/benutzeranleitung/ or Documentation/Documentation for veterinarians at www.vetdata.ch

As there have been an increasing number of requests that invoices cannot be found in the “Supplier invoice” tab, we would like to point out that a filter is active. The filter can be removed using the “X”. A new filter can also be set.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us at admin@vetdata.ch or by phone on 071 571 48 77.

With this approach, we hope to make a contribution to data security and further increase data protection.

Thank you for your attention and best regards

Your VETdata team
